7月13日，執行嫦娥七號任務的長征五號遙十四運載火箭安全運抵文昌，與探測器“會師”。這一次，目標直指月球南極。嫦娥七號將前往永久陰影區，尋找可能藏在那里的珍貴水冰，此次它還將搭載來自6個國家和1個國際組織的6臺科學載荷，共赴月球。
